Winslow, Az to Globe, Az

"I was standing on the corner at Winslow, Arizona", so the famous Eagles song goes. Yes, we were there, with the song playing on the opposite corner in the gift shop. Winslow also is home to another Mary Colter buildings, the La Posada Hotel, recently refurbished to back to what it was like in the day as she designed it, a delightful place to stay.

On our journey to Globe we came across this wigwam motel in Holbrook, we couldn't figure out if they had toilets...

Tall pine trees - where we stopped and had a little lunch that we bought earlier.

Just the two of us at Salt River Canyon

Salt River Canyon - "I don't think it's safe to go out that far for a photo, Ian..."

Arriving in Globe, the loss of internet was based on 'approaching storms'. We had dinner at a local mexican restaurant, but the storm did not bring any rain. Explained to the receptionist that the loss of internet was due to the router channel-sharing with next door. Ahem. Pretty storm sunset, though.
